If you come across a provider whose NPI does not export, you will need to add them using the Advanced Search feature. Once added, their NPI will be mapped for each case they appear in.
Follow the steps below to add a provider NPI to Claim Maker:
Navigate to 'Data Entry View'
Click the 'other' tab and locate the provider
Click on the provider text box and Click Advanced Search in the drop down that appears beneath the field
Enter the provider full name and specialty (pick a state – optional) in the popup. Start typing the specialty and a list will appear. Click Serach!
Once you find the provider in the results listed click 'Apply'
To confirm NPI was added in provider field by clicking the provider name and checking an NPI appears underneath in the dropdown. This number will now appear in the export and be applied to any future cases containing this provider. NOTE: this change will only affect NEWLY processed cases and is not retroactive.
